Walk and Talk
Walk and Talk Group Sessions
A gentle way to connect, reflect, and not feel so alone in what you’re carrying.
These small group sessions take place outdoors, walking side by side at a comfortable pace.
There’s no pressure to share, and no expectation to have the right words.
Just space to be, alongside others who may be feeling something similar.
What these sessions are
These are small, facilitated walk and talk groups.
A chance to:
Step away from the usual environment
Spend time outdoors
Reflect on what’s going on for you
Feel a sense of connection, without pressure
Some people come to talk.
Others come just to walk and listen.
Both are completely okay.
Who this might be for
You might find this helpful if:
You’ve been feeling overwhelmed or stretched
You’re finding things difficult but don’t want 1:1 support (yet)
You feel more comfortable not being the focus of attention
You’d like gentle connection with others
You find being outdoors helps you feel more at ease
You don’t need to be “good in groups” to come.
How it works
Small groups (kept intentionally limited)
Set days and times
A gentle walking route at a steady pace
Space for conversation, reflection, or quiet
I’ll be there to guide and hold the space, but this isn’t structured or formal.
A different kind of support
This isn’t the same as 1:1 counselling.
It’s a softer starting point.
A way to:
Ease into being around others
Feel less alone
Take a small step towards support
Some people stay with group sessions.
Some move into 1:1 work later.
There’s no expectation either way
Things to consider
We’ll be in a public outdoor space, so confidentiality will be talked through beforehand
Weather may affect sessions
Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended
You don’t have to do this on your own.
Even being alongside others can be a beginning.
